Totalllllly Bored....

Sophia and I wrote a couple of hilarious stories, but they're on her old laptop which can't connect to the printer/wifi or anything, so i gotta wait for her to put them on a thumb drive and email them to me so i can post them.

My laptop has officially died- it still turns on, but the back light just won't come on anymore; even if i bang it. :'(
I'm currently saving up for a new Macbook... halfway there! They're sooooo dang expensive but luckily they're awesome computers and it has a built in webcam so i can make more videos!!!!!

Vacation!

I'm going to be on vacation from July 12th to July 14th, so I won't be able to post on any of those days.

My laptop is really not working today.
The screen has blacked out like 15 times, and I got on it at 7:00AM.
So what it does, is if I press the keys down a certain way, the screen blacks out, but
I can still kinda see it only if I look really hard. And I can still click around and type.
It's SO aggravating!!!!

Tommy & Bertha

My best friend Sophie and I came up with the idea of a new story called
"Tommy and Bertha- The Rippling Biesity Story''.
It's about a 7 year old boy named Tommy who likes to go up to this flubbery old lady's house, who's name is Bertha McGregor. Tommy heard from the big 5th graders at school that if you poked Bertha in the stomach, her biesity (fat, flubber) would create ripples to form up and down her body.
We came up with the idea at her dad's birthday party. (Which had excellent cake, by the way ;D)
Sophie wrote it this morning while she was lounging in her rainbow bean bag chair.
She wrote it on her laptop, which doesn't have internet access, so she's going to put it on a flash drive and sent it to me from her mom's computer.
Then I'll try to publish it on the web.
She's also going to send me another story we both wrote about Justin Timberlake and Alicia Keys.
(not that we have anything againist them, nor are they dating in real life. It was the first celebrity names that came to mind at the moment, that's all.)

14 days until my birthday party, 15 days until my birthday.
I've been busy adding things to my wishlist to do much writing.
Also, it's been sunny outside, so I have a good excuse.

I Have No Idea

I just realized that when I go to most people's blogs, their posts are about 10 times the amount of longness (?!)

that mine are.

Depressing.

15 days until my birthday (well actually 16 but my party is gonna be the day before)!

July 26th is the day. Jul 25th is my party, but I'm not going to tell you where it is because I don't like party crashers. Hehe...

I went to the library today and got my usual haul of trashy books.

I wish I could put more stories on here!

The problem is all of my stories are on (what do yah know?) my second hand iBook. 

And my second hand iBook is acting very rebellious towards me more often than usual.

I will have to punish it...

19 days until my birthday...
I haven't really gone to the library in a while (a week) so I haven't had any new reading material.
I've been reading Diary of a Wimpy Kid... I hope know you get how desperate I am.
Nonononono; I LOVE the Diary of a Wimpy Kid series, but.... yeah........

Anyway.

I haven't been writing/blogging/reading that much anyway because it's finally hot and sunny outside!
I put lemon juice in my hair... didn't work.... have to do it again.....
I'll make a video on YouTube about lemon juice bleaching/lightning your hair!

Topic of the Day: 4th of July

Happy 4th

So today's the 4th of July.
I love watching fireworks and eating pie, but something about this holiday bugs me.
It didn't *used* too, but now it seems like one more thing to make the 21 days until my birthday seem longer.
Ever felt that way?
Like there's this day like your birthday, or your favorite holiday or something, but you have all these things planned *before* that special day, so it takes forever to come.
that's how I feel!
AHH my mental calender is mushing up my brain!!!!!

Anyway.

Yesterday my dad, my sister and I went to the beach. It was super nice out and actually pretty hot.
Oh, that reminds me. Today on the 4th of July, where I live anyway, it's supposed to *rain*.
Can you believe that?!?
Totally lame. =(

Haircutting-ness + Babysitting

I got my hair trimmed!
It looks SOOOOOOO different.. *not*

I babysat yesterday for my neighbors, and I'm babysitting again next week.
I need $$ for a phone and a new laptop!!!! (Phone as in a cell phone, not a landline... it would be preetty cool to have your own landline, though...)

I seriously need to write more! But it's finally sunny today, so I'm probably going to be outside a lot with a Popsicle... Speaking of being outside/the sun today/this week I'm going to highlight my hair with lemons!
I know, I know. I do a lot of crazy things with my hair that doesn't involve store-bought dye esp. for hair....
By the  time I'm, I dunno, 30, I'll probably have dyed my hair a bajillion colors without using actual dye.
That would be a LOL moment.

Babs & Haircut

I finally posted the latest version of Babs!
Be sure to read it... it's *super* funny.

Today I have a hair(s) cut scheduled at 4:45PM.
I was going to go drastic and get a pixie cut, but changed my mind.
Now I'm just going to get a trim.
What can you say; I like my hair!
Before school starts in September (yes, I like to plan things ahead of time ;D)
I'm going to re-dye my hair red/pink with Kool-Aid.

Awesome Skin Tip!

I just found the perfect tip to have perfect skin *ever*.

Lemon juice and sugar is all you  need!

Here's what you do:

Take a cotton ball and get it soaked in lemon juice. Add a pinch of sugar and rub it all around your face. Rinse your face off with warm water. Works like magic! 

I'm dead serious; I just tried this 5 minutes ago and my skin is SO SOFT!!!!!!
BTW I did NOT come up with this idea; Kandee Johnson did.

Fantastic Novels + New Story Up!

I just read my new favorite book, called Leap Day by Wendy Mass.
My other favorite book is called A Mango-Shaped Space, which is also by Wendy Mass.
11 Birthdays is another, and still by Wendy Mass!
You have to check her books out; they're awesome.
Anyway, Leap Day is about a girl who has her "4th" birthday, even though she's actually 16.
She was born on leap day, which only comes every 4 years. Do the math ( 4 x 4) and you find she's actually been around for 16 years.
Every other chapter is everybody else thinking. Like Lauren Myracle's review:
"Wendy Mass gives us a backstage pass to her characters' inner workings, reminding us that we're all connected in wild and wonderful ways. This is eavesdropping at it's finest".

3 Days!

3 days until I leave for California!
I'm so excited; this will be my first time on a plane, in Cali, etc.

Does anybody have any tips for me for the plane ride?

Ancient Greece = Fun! (kinda...)

OK so learning about Ancient Greece is getting more fun, but also getting weirder. We have to wear "chitons" (the Greek version of togas, but Romans stole their idea so I guess togas are the Roman version of chitons... pronounced ki-tons.) and they look *really* weird.
But our city-state (Megara) is planning a Greek lunch on Friday, so that should be pretty fun.


The problem is, Megara is famous for their clothing/fashion, so we have to come up with really good chitons... well I mean we don't *have* to but we should.


I'm taking an un-intentional break from writing, but I've been reading constantly.
If anyone wants a list of books, comment asking and I'll give you a super-good list.


I gotta go do math homework... dividing decimals and percentages... lovely... (NOT)

Myth + More Lip Gloss

In school we're studying Ancient Greece, and today we got put into our city-states. My Greek name is Amphitrite, AKA Poseidon's girlfriend or sea-goddess. Read Percy Jackson... you'll get it more... speaking of the Percy Jackson series, I personally think they get kind of boring. It's the same thing through out each 5 books. Percy goes to Camp Half-Blood.. goes on a quest... meets some evil guys... gets tricked... blah blah blah. 

Anyway.

We have to write and make up myths. Mine is called "How Tigers Got Their Stripes". I'll post it when I'm finished with it...


I made more lipgloss today, and decided to call the color "Strawberry". It's a lot lighter than the other one with kind of a yellow/orange undertone. Unfortunately I don't have a pic, but I'll try and post one sometime...

New Story: Darwin!

I just wrote a new story called Darwin.
You can read it on the side bar...
It's about a 30-year-old man named Darwin who still lives with his parents.

Anyway...

Today at school we had the Author's Tea. It was fun... there was free cookies and juice! Also grapes and strawberries, which I love. The ironic thing was, I piled up my paper plate with grapes and a couple big, juicy strawberries and people said- as they saw my plate- "wow, that's a lot!" or something like that, but when I looked at *their* plate, it was filled with cookies, Rice Krispies, and brownies.
They should talk...

Author's Tea

In my class, we recently made illustrated books. We got to go through the process of writing, formatting, printing, illustrating, and finally "publishing" our books using rubber cement, cardboard and dental floss. My was called Rose the Brat and it was about a bratty 4-year-old who meets another 4-year-old who's even brattier.
Anyway, we're having an "author's tea" on Friday the 15th to celebrate these books, and also the poetry books we made back in February, I think. We get to dress up and present our books to the parents. Not a lot of people are psyched about dressing up, especially most of the guys. =D
I'm going to make a page on it, so be sure to read it. It won't be with the illustrations, but it's a good story. You'll be entertained.

I'm kind of in a comedy-writing stage, but it's my kind of humor. Which isn't everybody's type of humor... it's more of a silly/stupid writing stage to most people, I guess...
Anyway, you still should check it out, especially if you're in the need of a good laugh.

Hey, and welcome to my writing blog. I'm currently writing a funny, pointless story about an old lady named Babs who attempts to walk to Germany,  but ends up in Mexico. It's rather amusing, if I do say so myself. 

You're probably wondering why the title of my blog is "Second Hand iBooks." Well, I have one of those (typing on it right now, in fact) and all my stories start on there. Well, they actually start in my imagination (it's kinda messy up there... but I guess that's a good thing...) but still. That's where they get typed out.
